On November 30, 2018, at the Center of Architecture, Design and Urbanistic Gunpowder Tower, the team of the Cultural Center “Svirzh Castle” presented the Castle of the Future — the concept of adapting the castle to modern needs. This was the final event within the framework of the project “Svirzh Castle. Genesis. The elaboration of the concept of revitalization and adaptation of the castle”, which this year has won an individual grant of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
The team presented the result of their work on the creation of the Cultural Center “Svirzh Castle” — an institution that is intended to become a platform for a new cultural product — and shared plans for the future.
The speakers were:
Svitlana Tymkiv — project director of Cultural Center “Svirzh Castle”, about program activity of the cultural center, analysis of the fall events in the castle.
Pavlo Gudimov — the curator of the project, about planning the space of the Cultural Center, landscape design and castle as a new format of country recreation culture.
Nataliia Matlashenko — a researcher, curator of the exhibition “Svirzh Castle. Genesis” and coordinator of the educational programs of the Cultural Center “Svirzh Castle”, about the exhibition and subsequent studies and programs of the castle.
Ostap Reshetylo — Associate Professor of the Department of Zoology in Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, about the perspective of the ecologist regarding the Svirzh Castle.
Bohdan Goi — the head of Lviv regional organization of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, about cooperation and the Gunpowder Tower to Svirzh Castle route.
Natalia Hnatyuk — managing partner of law firm LAW NET, advocate, about legal aspects of the project.
